Meet our Family

Nelson Parson: Experience and Affiliations:

Born in Georgia and a resident of Elbert County , Georgia

Over 50 years in the agriculture industry, (Poultry, Cattle, Goats)

His patience, his devotion to family and farm, going to work every day to provide simple things like insurance and a steady income when things don't go as planned and coming home to more work makes him the foundation this farm is built on. Without him and his support I could never have participated in all the livestock activities and programs.

He never asks for much so when he said he did not like urbanization of the area and wanted to sell our farm in Jackson County, Georgia, there was no hesitation. We were off to meet new people, find a new place and and begin a new adventure.

July-2007 Sold our farm in Jackson County and moved to our new farm in Elbert County   to raise purebred goats and forage feed beef.

He has a lifetime of experience in farming. His family raised, cattle, pigs, broilers and cotton. Everyone did their share. Being the oldest, he also his siblings' caretaker.

Over 20 years raising and selling meat goats in Georgia .  Ten  years raising and selling registered fullblood and percentage Boer goats.

He participated in the FFA programs in High School. He showed Market Hogs and Steers and then trained and showed horses. Showing goats was an easy step. He already had the basics.

Rachel Parson our daughter and now she has a daughter of her own. She was a blessing and a delight and knows if something is not right with the animals. I could trust her to know what to do if we were gone. I miss her, but our granddaughter is walking in her footsteps.
